Is the CAP office open?
Yes, the CAP office is now open on Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm. CAP staff will be in the office full time but ask that students email in advance to set up a meeting when possible. We are also available for virtual meetings if students prefer to meet via Zoom.
How do I turn in travel, reimbursements, or other forms?
Please email Corey at cepotts@uncg.edu and she will give you further information on the necessary steps to turn in paperwork. Many processes have been moved to an online format so please reach out to Corey prior to coming into the office.
Will my student group be able to hold in-person meetings and events in the spring semester?
Yes, based on the updated University guidelines as of March 1, 2022, student groups will be permitted to hold in-person meetings and events starting March 7, 2022. Note: These guidelines will continue to be updated as conditions change.
How do I get my student group event or meeting approved?
Student groups will need to submit their events on Spartan Connect as per the deadlines indicated below. The event must receive final approval from the CAP office before proceeding with the event.
- In-person program or event: 30 days prior to the event date
- Virtual program or event: 15 days prior to the event date
- Student group tabling: 7 days prior to the tabling date
- Student group meetings (in-person & virtual): Not required, but strongly encouraged in order to reach out to new or returning members.
Can my student group travel for conferences and group related events?
Student organization related travel will not be financially sponsored or approved for students in fall 2021 and until further notice. If there is a change to this policy, student groups will be notified.
*Any exceptions need to be presented to the Director of Campus Activities for review.
If I need to get in contact with someone from CAP, how should I do that?
We check our capso@uncg.edu account regularly and encourage students to reach out to us at that email address.
