Fraternity and Sorority Life at UNCG supports four councils and 24 chapters of national organizations. All of these councils and chapters positively contribute to UNCG community through our five pillars of scholarship, leadership, unity, service, and legacy. college panhellenic council

The College Panhellenic Council (CPC) serves as the governing body for the sororities on campus that are members of the National Panhellenic Conference. CPC oversees formal Panhellenic sorority recruitment each fall and provides its member organizations with educational programming, leadership opportunities, and community service/philanthropy initiatives. Potential new members are guided through formal recruitment in the spring semester.

multicultural greek council

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is comprised of culturally-based Greek organizations. MGC exists to provide support, education, and programming for culturally-based Greek organizations in order to contribute to the diversity on the UNCG campus and within Fraternity and Sorority Life. These organizations conduct their Membership Intake at the individual chapter level and interested students should connect with the chapters to learn more about their process.

interfraternity council

The InterFraternity Council (IFC) is composed of North American Interfraternity Conference fraternities committed to encouraging the most complete intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development of its members. Recruitment is year-round with formal recruitment processes in the spring semester. Spring Rush Week allows interested potential new members a chance to meet all the chapters and decide which organization possess values and ideals that align with their own.

national panhellenic council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at UNCG is composed of historically black fraternities and sororities that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. They are committed to attaining the highest possible educational and cultural objectives, while promoting Greek unity and positively impacting the UNCG community along with inter-Greek relationships. NPHC groups conduct recruitment at various times throughout the year based on chapter requirements.

Delta Sigma Theta (Omicron Eta)

Special Note: The charges and suspension of the aforementioned chapter were determined and set by the corporate office of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. The sorority conducted an internal investigation where they determined the chapter had not acted in accordance with organization policy or procedure. Charges and determination are in accordance with Delta Sigma Theta.

  1. Unauthorized chapter meeting – Responsible
  2. Physical hazing – Responsible
